Ben, Mary and Lottie Visit
Lottie came to stay with Dora in Amsterdam for the weekend. Ben and Mary came too. Dora enjoyed meeting them. It was exciting to see Lottie running around and having little conversations.

Dora's Passport Photo
This is Dora's first passport photo. It was taken in a camera shop in Amsterdam. It took quite a lot of effort to attract her attention, but she opened her eyes and looked towards the camera. She had just woken up. Sophie's hand is up the front of her outfit to help her to sit up. You can just see the end of Sophie's finger over her right shoulder. Hopefully the consulate will accept the photograph. Immigration officers will be comparing it to Dora for the next 5 years!
The red trousers nearly fit
Dora has nearly grown into the smart red trousers that Pop Pop gave her. She is wearing her soft little lamb slippers, which were a present from the HR team at Daddy's work.
Our amateurish attempt at a passport photo for Dora
We tried to take a photo for Dora's passport ourselves. This was the best out of about thirty, but is still no good for her passport. We got it done professionally instead and ended up with a good picture. Daddy will scan it and put it on the blog soon.

Dora went to the doctor this week for a routine check-up. She gained a kilogram in weight over a period of two weeks. She now weighs over 4.5kg (10lb). She is quite a long baby too, at 65cm.
Lucinda, Dylan, Sophie, Dora, Ashley and Henri
Dora and Sophie went to a tea party yesterday and Dora met two new friends; Dylan, who is a week younger than Dora, and Henri, the most recent arrival who was born on the 6th of January. Dora enjoyed having tea with two boys.

Dora and James blogging
Dora and James sit down together nearly every day to update her blog. She can't type very well yet, so she dictates. She says she is very grateful to all of her fans for keeping up with her latest news.
Dora in the outfit that Pop Pop gave her
Before Dora was born, Pop Pop went shopping in London and brought Dora this snappy oufit.

Granny D came to visit this week so that she and Dora could get to know each other. Click on the picture if you'd like to see the latest photos.
Dora Waking Up
An hour's walk in the Vondelpark this afternoon really exhausted Dora. Then she had to do some shopping at Albert Heijn, so she was quite sleepy. We thought that we should wake her up so that we could get some sleep later tonight.

Weight gain!
Dora had an appointment with the baby consultation bureau yesterday. It was the first time she has been. She will have regular appointments there, so that they can make sure that she is growing healthily and getting all of the right vitamins and vaccinations.
They weighed her for the first time since her delivery, when she weighed 3.28kg. Now Dora weighs 3.56kg. That is good news, because it means that she is eating well. She has gained twice as much weight as the minimum required.
The other good news is that she is now big enough to go in her Baby Bjorn carrier. We tried it out this evening and she fell fast asleep. It will be a good way of carrying her around and strengthening our backs.

Dora's Peruvian Jumper
Aunty Ubby and Uncle John brought Dora a very special jumper all the way from Peru. She tried it on today and looked very comfortable in it. She should be nice and warm this winter.
